Cycling without clothing seems to have caught on in a big way here in New Zealand. But how is it that two naked cyclists were issued with a stern warning for not wearing helmets, yet our own ‘natural athlete’ Nick Lowe is now appealing a conviction for wearing one and nothing else?
‘Possum’ and thirty others, also wearing helmets, had anything but an easy ride over the Central Otago Rail Trail in early January, and made the most of viewing the historic old buildings and viaducts along the way.
Nudie Foodie, Pete Whalan, ponders on the diversity of naturists. Food for thought. You know there’s quite a variety of both really. And while on the subject of food, that’s about where I came in during the Retro Rally at Pineglades; when they were dishing up dinner. Okay, so I was a few days late getting there. At least I made it. I almost didn’t... but that’s another story. I managed the lineup of "The Gems" next day and had some fun at the quizz night and even more fun on Bavarian Night (I’ve got the teeth marks in my gingerbread biscuit to prove it.) But Pam Griffin got the Rhythm of the Retro Rally at Pineglades. Yes, everything from ‘Mindglades’ to ‘Wineglades’. Rally photographers; Wendy Morgan, Chris Matheson and special thanks to TAN editor Les Rootsey, provided the wonderful montage for this edition.
Still on the subject of photography. Congratulations go to Will and Shirley Fraser for their award winning photo. And to the winner of Best Article, Bill McEwan for his concise, articulate article, our sincere congratulations and thanks.
